Alpro Shoes
For over 230 years the Birkenstock family has been in the shoe business. Beginning with Johann Adam Birkenstock in 1774, he was the shoemaker in a small German village. Since then family members have continued the family business of shoe making, each adding their personal touches to improve and continue the tradition of Birkenstock footwear. Birkenstock was the first to introduce contoured insoles and flexible arch supports to footwear. Providing consumers with comfort and quality footwear is definitely a family tradition with Birkenstock.
Alpro is a division of the Birkenstock line. Alpro features Alpro®-foam foot beds that are molded like the tradition Birkenstocks and on most styles is replaceable. Culinary professionals love the Alpro Profi-Birki and Alpro Super-Birki designs because after a day in the kitchen they can be thrown in the dishwasher, up to 140° F, and washed. Alpro shoes are providing not only easy clean up, which is a favorite thing in the kitchen, but comfort and support which is much needed in professions where standing for long periods of time is mandatory.
